Opening Image1Wesley feeling trapped in a life he hates.
Theme Stated11On the ATM screen, "You know it and you're too big a pussy to do anything about it." Wesley has lost control of his life. He has let himself drift into a life he hates, has no purpose, no direction, and feels powerless. He needs to become proactive and take responsibility for his life. He needs to become like Fox.
SetupTBDWesley finds it difficult to care about anything. His girlfriend shamelessly cheats on him with his best friend, and his boss is intolerable. We also learn that he never knew his father. There's also an action scene that establishes the genre, and sets up the stage in terms of plot.
Catalyst12Fox appears and saves(?) Wesley from Cross.
Debate29Questions abound. Who is that guy and how come he's able to curve bullets? Who are these people, and why do they want Wesley to shoot the wings off the flies? What are those weird things Sloan says about Wesley's father? And the most important question of all: Is Fox wearing panties or not?

Break Into Two29Wesley wallops his "best friend" with the ergonomic keyboard, the keys sending us a clear message that we're officially getting into Fun And Games territory, and he proceeds to step into Fox's car.
B StoryTBDWesley's relationship with Sloan. Sloan acts as a father figure and guides Wesley into taking control of his life and achieving his potential. But at the same time Sloan has become a monster. He's a master of manipulation, he has total disregard for "the code" and is no longer of service to society. He's just "a thug who can bend bullets", serving only his narrow egoistic purposes.
Fun and GamesTBDWesley becomes familiar with the Fraternity and his training begins. He gets beaten up by the Repairman, fights with the Butcher, hangs out with Fox and learns how to use his powers. He also studies Cross' methods and learns from them.
Midpoint51False victory. Wesley manages to curve the bullet's trajectory and hit the target. He's now ready and he's welcomed to the fraternity.

Bad Guys Close InTBDWesley has to kill real targets. Training is over and he's given actual missions. And he finally gets to go after Cross, the man he was recruited to kill in the first place.
All Is Lost75Wesley learns the true identity of the man he just killed and realizes he was manipulated, and that his number's up.
Dark Night of the SoulTBDWesley takes a plunge with his father's dead body. He learns his father was never far from him, and finds out the truth about Sloan.
Break into Three81Wesley puts on his father's jacket and discovers the secret room.
FinaleTBDWesley makes his preparations based on the plans his father himself had made, then he literally "storms the castle". He finds himself surrounded, and the one Digging Deep Down is Fox who chooses to remain loyal to "the code".
Final ImageTBDWesley in control of his life.
NotesLoosely based on a series by comic book sensation Mark Millar, written by the guys who brought us "2 Fast 2 Furious", helmed by an amazing new director from Russia and sporting a great cast, "Wanted" takes us on an exciting ride, delivers all the thrills and chills we could possibly expect from an action thriller, and it never disappoints.

Warning! Here Be Spoilers. Why it's Superhero : Wesley learns he has special "powers", and it's those abilities that define him and change his life forever. He's opposed by a devious "Nemesis", a far greater force who manipulates him and takes advantage of his ignorance. Wesley's "curse" is his ignorance. He doesn't know who he is. As a result he's manipulated and is tragically led to kill his own father, the only person who really cares for him.
